Today we were very pleased to officially open our ”Coffee and Cake” area! Made possible by a generous legacy from a long time Woodgreener, Peter Arnold, the bunting was cut by his sister, Jean, with friends from the village and beyond and family present. It is wonderful that a dedicated area in memory of Peter, who loved to sit with a coffee after getting his shopping, can now be enjoyed by many. We also took delivery of a bench, in memory of Peter and his wife Sheila, which was given to Peter by the villagers to celebrate his 80th birthday, and which can be enjoyed by villagers on sunnier days as they tuck into delicious cake and coffee.Comments are Off on this post.
