What a wonderful shop.. I lived in Langtree House 1960, then it was Holders shop and Pelhams Mum ran the Post office across the green from the pub.. So many good memories of the village back then ..
So nice to see still a busy village..
I am working on revising the Pevsner Buildings of England volume for South Hampshire and am much impressed by the architecture of your shop. Your website gives it as being opened in 2011 and there are plans, but NO ARCHITECT. Can you please tell me who designed the building as I would like to include it in the new volume.
The new shop was designed by Richard Swann and Nigel Honer of Bruges
Tozer Architects (http://www.brugestozer.co.uk). It was built by Raymond
Brown Building Ltd (http://www.raymondbrownbuilding.co.uk). This is
currently acknowledged on the website’s ‘Links’ page.
Hi
I am coming down to the area next week and would like to call in and see the shop. I am particularly interested in the on-line shopping proposal. The most likely day would be Friday 3rd as I am attending a wedding on 4th. I used to live in the area, in Ringwood, and my daughter was born in Salisbury.
We took over our own village shop as a community shop, with the help of the Plunkett Foundation. We have been running for almost 18 months and will be having our first full year’s AGM in July. If you have any questions to ask us I would be happy to answer them
